CrossFit Beginners

The CrossFit Beginners program is designed to teach all new members the fundamentals of CrossFit. The emphasis of the class is on technique, safety and familiarization with the CrossFit movements.

CrossFit Beginner is an introductory membership that allows someone new to CrossFit the opportunity to try it out without a large financial commitment. This membership runs for one month and gives the member the opportunity to take as many classes as they like. The member will be allowed to take any class on our schedule that is labeled “CrossFit.” There is no contracted term length with this membership, we just want to show you how much fun starting CrossFit can be. At the end of the month you can decide to proceed with another membership option or just walk away!

Each class is typically taught by two instructors. During the class, participants of the CrossFit Beginners program will participate in a group warm-up, get instruction on Olympic lifts, learn body weight movements, and become familiar with the CrossFit philosophy, as well as learn nutrition tips.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable workout clothing and running shoes.

This is going to be hot. What should I bring to drink?

Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. We also have bottled water and other drinks available in our on-site store.

How long are the classes?”

Each class last approximately an hour but give yourself an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half. This is in case the class runs a little over or you need some extra recovery time before driving home.

What happens if I miss a class?

This is strongly discouraged as each class builds upon the next. We are committed to giving you the best opportunity to change your life and we expect the same commitment.

Why should I do the CrossFit Beginners program?

The CrossFit Beginners program allows you to learn CrossFit workouts and allows us as trainers to learn about you. Crossfit, by design, is scalable for everyone from the Elite Level athlete to the person who has never worked out before. The CrossFit Beginners program gives you a base of knowledge so that when you enter into the main classes you are comfortable with the movements and style of workouts.

Do you have childcare?

To give you the best experience we recommend that you leave the little ones at home.

    I’m just wondering if with the dicounted on-ramp program I sign up before the end of the month but can’t start til the first week in August am I still able to get what the package offers or does it have to be completed within the month of July?

    • Hey Jon,

      You can sign up and then just email us with the date you would like the on-ramp to start. I will then adjust the start time to when it is convenient for you. The program does not have to be completed this month. Hope to see you soon.


  2. Hey!!! I know you guys have been putting off joining the gym. The time to do it is right now. Why? Because you can join for half the price! We are running a special for our on ramp program thru the end of of July. Your going to join anyway, why not do it and save yourself some cash! Check our website for all the info.     I am so interested in CrossFit! I am wondering when you would start a begininers class? I am fit and have been working out my whole life, but need a change and challenge. I am 40 and want to make my 40′s the best! Could you let me know when and if I should take the beginners class?

      Glad to hear you are interested! We actually modified our classes to make them more beginner friendly. Any class in red on our online calendar is something that you would be able to take. We take time each class to instruct on the movements that will be used in the workouts. Since we have started offering advanced classes 2x per week it allows us to slow down our regular CrossFit classes, and it has worked very well for beginners. All you need to do is let me know when you would like to try a class – give me a time and date and we will set it up. We look forward to meeting you!

  5. Hello! I am currently a member of another crossfit gym while I am away at college. I am going to be on winter break for over a month in the Kingston area and I was wondering if I can do classes to stay in shape? Would I be doing the beginner classes? Please let me know! Thank you
